Position Overview

GoldPhield is looking for a talented and experienced Legal Counsel to for client, a leading player in the energy sector, is seeking a. The ideal candidate will have 5–7 years of PQE in corporate or commercial law, with a preference for candidates who have worked in the energy industry. This role involves providing legal expertise, drafting and negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including joint ventures, supply contracts, and service agreements.

• Advise internal stakeholders on legal and regulatory matters, corporate governance, and risk management.

• Ensure compliance with Singapore laws and energy sector regulations, supporting the implementation of compliance frameworks.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, such as finance, operations, and business development, to drive corporate initiatives.

• Handle disputes and manage external counsel when necessary.

• Develop and implement internal policies aligned with legal requirements and corporate objectives.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Law from a recognized institution; admission to the Singapore Bar is an advantage.

• 5–7 years of PQE, with a strong foundation in corporate/commercial legal counsel roles.

• Experience in the energy industry is preferred.

• Proven expertise in contract drafting and negotiation, with a solid understanding of corporate transactions.

• Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

• Comprehensive knowledge of Singapore's legal and regulatory framework, especially in the energy sector.
